Hawa Mahal ticket prices in 2026
Entry to the Hawa Mahal is priced per person, with separate rates for foreign and Indian visitors and for students. The rates below apply from 1 January 2026, when entry fees for the state-run monuments went up. Prices in older guides and blog posts are out of date.
Seeing the facade from the street costs nothing. You pay only if you go inside. The visitor entrance is behind the street facade.

Entry fees by visitor type
Price per person, as of 2026. They can change.
| Visitor | Entry in 2026 |
|---|---|
| Indian adult | INR 100 |
| Foreign adult | INR 600 |
| Indian student or school pupil | INR 50 |
| Foreign student or school pupil | INR 300 |
These are the four categories. For young children, seniors, visitors with disabilities and any fee for a camera or video, ask at the entrance before you queue, and carry proof if you claim the student rate.
Can you buy a Hawa Mahal ticket online?
Do not plan around it. Tourism websites link to an e-ticket service, but a working online sale for the Hawa Mahal is not guaranteed. Be careful with any site that sells "official Hawa Mahal tickets". This guide does not sell tickets and has no link to the monument.
Check how tickets are sold at the entrance on the day, and arrive early on busy days. Keep some flexibility in your plan for a queue.

City tours and guided walks around the Pink City, with live prices and availability. Check whether the Hawa Mahal entry ticket is part of the price.
Tickets for nearby sights compared
The Hawa Mahal needs its own ticket. It is not part of a City Palace ticket.
| Sight | Foreign adult | Indian adult | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hawa Mahal | INR 600 | INR 100 | Students INR 300 / 50 |
| Jantar Mantar | INR 600 | INR 100 | Students INR 300 / 50 |
| Albert Hall Museum | INR 600 | INR 100 | Students INR 300 / 50 |
| City Palace museum | Separate counter, own rates | INR 400 | Own price list; Indian rate shown for Indian nationals |
The City Palace sets its own prices and does not use the state monument rates. The Chandra Mahal tour is a separate ticket sold only at the counter. See the City Palace page. For Jantar Mantar and the Albert Hall Museum, the pages cover hours and what you see.
Combination tickets and the forts
A bundle is only worth it if you visit everything on it.
Jaipur has a combination ticket for several monuments, and the City Palace sells its own product that includes Jaigarh. Both involve the forts above the city, not only the old city. The Jaipur composite ticket is covered on our sister site, so prices and validity are not repeated here. Work out which sights you will really see before you buy one.
If you only want the old city, single tickets are enough: the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and the City Palace sit within walking distance of each other. Check opening hours so that you fit them into one day.
Hawa Mahal tickets: frequently asked questions
How much is the Hawa Mahal ticket for foreigners?
INR 600 per adult in 2026. Foreign students pay INR 300. The rates apply from 1 January 2026.
How much do Indian visitors pay?
INR 100 per adult in 2026, and INR 50 for Indian students and school pupils.
Is a City Palace ticket needed for the Hawa Mahal?
No. The Hawa Mahal has its own entrance behind the street facade, and its ticket is separate from the City Palace. The two sights are close, but they are priced and run separately.
Do I have to book a guide?
A guide is not compulsory. A guide can add context on the history and the windows. If you book a tour, check that the entry ticket is included, because some tours only stop for a front view.
Does the ticket cover other Jaipur sights?
No. The Hawa Mahal ticket is for the Hawa Mahal. Jantar Mantar, the Albert Hall Museum and the City Palace each need their own ticket unless you buy a combination product.
Where can I find the opening hours?
See the timings page. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 or 5 p.m.
